Coming to Rwanda 1 month ago, I, Anna Dorothea Mewes, saw many needs. Families invited me to show me their way of life: most of them have to manage their lifes with an income of under 1€ per day. Sometimes they can´t even afford one meal per day. Children hunger fund is a project that I created to support impoverished children in my sponsorship program that supports children school and their families in very poor Rwandan communities. My vision for 2020 is to provide 3 meals per day for 300 selected families in Ngeruka sector. They should benefit from hunger fund project on a termly basis in the next year. This project should help this children to be able to focus on their studies. I found that children from these poor families are struggling to make their ends meet and this seriously affects a child`s situation at school. Whereby lack of concentration leads them into failure in their studies. How I want to do it This project is created to take care of children in a sponsorship program by providing them with food packages on termly basis throughout the academic year. This package includes the basic meals (including bags of maize flour, sugar, rice, beans and salt) that can feed them through the academic term.
