Mein Name ist Sebastian Becher und ich bin seit 2008 im Verein "Happy Kuh" eV. ehrenamtlich tätig, Der "Happy Kuh" eV. ist ein eingetragener Tierschutzverein, der sich hauptsächlich um ausrangierte, kranke, alte und behinderte Kühe kümmert, die hier friedlich ihr Leben verbringen dürfen.  Mir liegt das Projekt so am Herzen, weil ich die meisten der Tiere persönlich aus ihren widrigen Umständen geholt, alle Geburten begleitet und vielen Tieren in ihren letzten Tagen beigestanden habe. Den Großteil der Rinder kenne ich ihr Leben lang und deshalb wünsche ich mir nichts sehnlicher als ein Zuhause für sie, aus dem sie nicht wieder wegziehen müssen.

Umso erfreulicher ist es, dass es seit letzter Woche ein Objekt gibt, das den Anforderungen entspricht, und der Verein auch vom Eigentümer die Zusage zum Kauf erhalten hat.  

Bei dem Objekt handelt es sich um ein ehemals privat genutztes landwirtschaftliches Grundstück, mit großem Stall, angrenzender Scheune und Werkstatt, befestigtem Bereich für die Rinder und etwas mehr als 11 Hektar Land. Das ist fast doppelt so viel wie der Verein jetzt pachtet. Es befindet sind ca 60 Kilometer vom jetzigen Standort entfernt und würde es ermöglichen den Umzug in der nötigen Frist mit weniger Stress für die Tiere zu bewältigen.

Ich möchte als Dankeschön für die tolle Arbeit des Vereins und all seiner Mitstreiter einen Spendenaufruf starten und helfen einen Großteil des benötigten Geldes zu sammeln. Je mehr wir hier zusammenbekommen, desto geringer ist der Aufwand für den Verein, einen Kredit zu erhalten. Der Verein hat zwar ein finanzielles Polster, aber leider reicht es nicht, um das Objekt selbstständig zu finanzieren.

Warum ist das Projekt wichtig?

Tiere sind fühlende Lebewesen, die Freude, Angst und Schmerz empfinden können.

Der respektvolle Umgang mit ihnen zeigt, welche Werte eine Gesellschaft vertritt (Mitgefühl, Verantwortung, Gerechtigkeit).

Der Umgang mit Tieren fördert bei Kindern und Jugendlichen Empathie, Verantwortungsbewusstsein und Respekt.

My name is Sebastian Becher, and I have been volunteering for the Happy Kuh eV. association since 2008. Happy Kuh eV. is a registered animal welfare organization that primarily cares for retired, sick, elderly, and disabled cows, allowing them to live out their lives in peace. The property is a formerly privately used agricultural property, with a large stable, an adjoining barn and workshop, a paved area for the cattle, and just over 11 hectares of land.
