Since September, I have been in close, daily contact with Mohammed Abood (16) from Gaza.
We write to each other every day, exchange photos and messages—little moments from two completely different worlds. Despite the ceasefire, Gaza continues to be destroyed, and the onset of winter is making the situation even worse.
Humanity is the driving force behind this appeal for donations, and the desire to sow seeds of hope for a life where school, playing soccer, singing, dreaming, and laughing are possible. With your donations, Mohammed's family can buy food and clean water, pay for medicine, clothing, and blankets for the winter, and regain a measure of security and dignity.
“My name is Mohammed, a young man from Gaza. I live with my family of ten under constant bombing, siege, and fear. Our home was destroyed, our lives collapsed before our eyes.
My little brother Zain stared at our destroyed home - as if his heart fell with the rubble. My mother is ill, and my other brother is in the hospital after eight painful surgeries. We can’t afford treatment, food, or clean water. We’re not asking for luxury — just the chance to survive. Every donation, no matter how small, can make a difference. Please help us rise from the rubble… give us a glimpse of hope in this darkness. From my heart - thank you to everyone who hears our cry. — Mohammed from Gaza “
