Stefanie has faced more hardship than most of us can imagine.
At a very young age, she was introduced to heroin. Addiction took over her life for years, but with incredible strength, she has been clean and sober for the past 15 years. During this time she also experienced several personal losses including her husband and child.
Today, she is still fighting several battles: severe health issues like cancer, OCPD and a condition that causes her to not absorb enough nutrients. For the last 2 years, she has also been homeless—living on the streets with nothing but a big teddy bear for comfort. Despite her illness, despite her circumstances, she has never given up hope.
What makes her story remarkable is her determination and vision. She is writing a book—her life story—so that children on the street and addicted to drugs like she was, can learn from her mistakes and choose a better path. She dreams of using her pain to inspire others. But right now, she cannot do it alone.
She urgently needs:
1️⃣ A place to live. Rent will be subsidized by the government, but the apartment she could move into is in a terrible condition. We want to get a container for her (500€) so it can get cleared out and cleaned of mold and dirt
2️⃣ Help with her basic needs. Food, medication, clothes and other essentials while she rebuilds her life.
3️⃣ Guidance writing, publishing and marketing her book. Support from those with experience in writing, publishing, and marketing, so her message can reach the world.
Every contribution will go directly toward helping her find stability, meet her basic needs, and finish her book. She has survived addiction, personal losses, cancer, and homelessness—but she has not lost her determination. She knows this is not the life she was meant to live. With your help, she can have the safe home and support she needs to share her story and inspire countless others.
