My cat Loki is fighting for his life.

A few days ago, Loki was found lying on a sidewalk, barely alive. A stranger discovered him and immediately contacted a nearby veterinarian. At that moment, he had already suffered massive blood loss and multiple severe injuries. The vet later told us that a car accident was unlikely his injuries suggest he was most likely hurt intentionally by a human.

Loki had a broken jaw, deep wounds torn into his throat, and multiple skull fractures and broken bones. He was in critical condition. He had lost so much blood that he needed emergency stabilization right away. Thankfully, a vet's office was nearby, the vet provided immediate lifesaving care, and personally transported him to a veterinary clinic.

For five days, Loki stayed in intensive care under constant supervision. He didn’t eat for two days due to his injuries, so he had to be fed through a feeding tube going through an manually made hole in his throat placed directly into his stomach. He received food, medication, and treatment that way. The doctors worked tirelessly to save him and somehow, against all odds, he survived.

Loki is a gentle, loving soul who did not deserve this cruelty. Seeing him fight so hard to live has broken my heart.

The cost of saving his life is estimated to be between €7,000 and €8,000. I would pay anything to keep him with me, but this amount is overwhelming, and I cannot manage it alone.
