Hi, I’m Auro, an artist and a trans person of color, and I’m reaching out to ask for your support in making a lifelong dream come true — to share with my community.

Ever since I was a child, I’ve dreamed of having a sailing boat — a small vessel and mode of transportation that relies solely on wind power and allows calm and connection with nature. I realized this dream could become so much more than a personal goal.

Unfortunately, sailing, yachting, and even simply having a space by the ocean are still privileges reserved mostly for the wealthy. We want to change that!

Together with a few friends, we found an old steel sailing boat that needs care and restoration.

We plan to repair it and turn it into a community and art residency boat: a place to retreat, to breathe, and to reconnect with the elements. We want to make this elitist sailing world softer, more inclusive, and more accessible — one plank, one coat of paint, one wave at a time.

Our goal is €9,000 to cover essential restoration costs:

 €3,000 for marina fees during repair and the first 3 months after

 €2,000 for a professional welder to fix the boat’s underbelly

€1700 for new windows and materials

 €2,100 for tools, rust treatment, and protective paint

 €200 for a new solar battery

Hallo, ich bin Auro, Transperson of Color und Künstler, ich bitte dich um Unterstützung um einen Lebenstraum zu erfüllen den ich mit meiner Community teile

Schon seit meiner Kindheit träume ich davon, ein Segelboot zu haben – ein kleines Schiff und Fortbewegungsmittel, das sich ausschließlich auf Windkraft stützt und Ruhe sowie Verbundenheit mit der Natur ermöglicht. Mir wurde klar, dass dieser Traum so viel mehr sein könnte als nur ein persönliches Ziel.

Leider sind Segeln, Yachtfahren und sogar einfach nur ein Platz am Meer immer noch Privilegien, die meist den Wohlhabenden vorbehalten sind. Das wollen wir ändern!

Zusammen mit ein paar Freunden haben wir ein altes Segelboot aus Stahl gefunden, das Pflege und Restaurierung benötigt.

Wir planen, es zu reparieren und in ein Community- und Künstlerresidenzboot zu verwandeln: einen Ort, an dem man sich zurückziehen, durchatmen und wieder mit den Elementen in Verbindung treten kann. Wir wollen diese elitäre Segelwelt softer, inklusiver und zugänglicher machen – eine Planke, ein Anstrich, eine Welle nach der anderen.

Unser Ziel sind 9.000 €, um die wesentlichen Restaurierungskosten zu decken:

3.000 € für Liegeplatzgebühren während der Reparatur und in den ersten 3 Monaten danach

2.000 € für einen professionellen Schweißer, der den Unterboden des Bootes repariert

1.700 € für neue Fenster und Materialien

2.100 € für Werkzeuge, Rostbehandlung und Schutzanstrich

200 € für eine neue Solarbatterie

Jeder Beitrag, egal wie klein, hilft uns, diesem gemeinsamen Traum einen Schritt näher zu kommen.
