Help for Brian

Unserem guten Freund Brian ist sein Haus auf Jamaika in Portland abgebrannt.

Brian lebte in einem Holzhaus mit 6 Räumen direkt am Strand und hat davon gelebt seine Räume zu vermieten zu einem fairen Preis für 20 Euro die Nacht. Aufgrund der Tatsache, dass sich irgendwer nicht an das Rauchverbot auf den Zimmern gehalten hat, ist sein ganzes Haus abgebrannt. Er steht im wahrsten Sinne des Wortes vor den Ruinen seiner Existenz. Brian hat im Laufe der Jahre vielen Leuten in seiner Umgebung geholfen, indem er ihnen Jobs organisiert hat, er ist sozial engagiert und bezieht in sein Angebot an Reisende auch Besuche auf selbstverwalteten Kaffeeplantagen und -Röstereien ein. Seine Lebenseinstellung ist antikapitalistisch, er teilt sein Leben mit seinen Gästen und richtet sein Leben an der Rastafarai-Tradition aus.

Einige seiner Freunde, zu denen auch wir zählen, sammeln Geld um ihm aktuell sein Überleben zu ermöglichen und eine neue Existenz aufzubauen.

The House of our good friend Brian in Portland, Jamaica burned down completly. He lived in this house directly at the beach and offered the rooms for guests for a fair price. Because of a guest who did not care about the smoking ban his whole house burned down. He stands in the truest sense of the word in front of the ruins of his existence. Through the years Brian was helping lots of people in his neighborhood by giving them jobs and visits with his guests selforganised coffee-farmers and roasting plants. His lifestyl is anticapitalistic, he shares his life with his guests and tries to life in the rastafarian way.

Some of his friends, to whom we belong, collect money to help him in that moment to survive and to build up a new existance.
