Ich erbitte heute eure Hilfe. Seit Jahren setze ich mich als Privatperson gegen Rechtsextremismus und Rassismus ein und für Betroffene von ME/CFS. Damit bin ich auf den Radar rechter Kreise geraten.

Was passiert ist:

Im März 2023 warnte ich auf X (früher Twitter) vor rechtsextremer Unterwanderung in textilen Hobbykreisen. Den damaligen Tweet reichte eine Autorin an ihre Freundin (die ebenfalls Autorin ist) weiter, die diesen Tweet für ein Kapitel, in ihrem in 2023 erschienen Bestseller eines großen deutschen Verlags, nutzte. In dem Buch werde ich mit vollem Namen genannt, rassistisch beleidigt, es werden falsche Tatsachenbehauptungen aufgestellt und gleichzeitig wird mir meine Identität abgesprochen.

Meine Reaktion:

Ich habe dies am 22.12.2023 erfahren und in Social Media öffentlich gemacht, um Hilfe zu erhalten und eine Lösung zu erzielen. Letzteres gelang leider nicht, stattdessen sah ich mich mit Beleidigungen, Hetze, Hass und Bedrohungen im Netz konfrontiert. Seit dieser Zeit geht es mir körperlich und psychisch schlecht.

Worum es geht:

Aus meiner Sicht geht es mit der Diffamierung im Buch darum, mich verstummen zu lassen, damit ich mich nicht weiter gegen Rechtsextremismus etc. einsetze. Außerdem werde ich durch die volle Nennung meines Namens im Buch erheblich gefährdet und in beispielloser Weise nachhaltig exponiert.

Mein Vorgehen:

Ich habe mich aus diesen Gründen entschieden, mich dagegen juristisch zu wehren. Zunächst mit Abmahnungen gegen die drei Akteure (Autorinnen und Verlag) und mit zwei Eilverfahren. Bislang habe ich die hohen Kosten überwiegend alleine getragen, einen Teil hat auch meine Rechtsschutzversicherung übernommen. Leider habe ich das erste (Eil-)Verfahren vor dem Landgericht Hamburg verloren. Die Begründung ist für meinen Anwalt und mich nicht nachvollziehbar, deshalb werden und auch deshalb müssen weitere Schritte folgen.

Die Relevanz:

Ich halte es gesellschaftlich für sehr wichtig gegen das Nennen einer Privatperson mit vollem Namen und rassistischer Beleidigung in einem Buch vorzugehen. Wenn sich dieses "An-den-Pranger-Stellen" als allgemeine Praxis durchsetzt, wird es als einzelne private Person kaum noch möglich sein, sich gegen Rechtsextremismus und andere Diskriminierungen Marginalierter öffentlich einzusetzen, aus Angst vor Bloßstellung und Diffamierung. Insbesondere nach den Veröffentlichungen durch Correctiv ist dieses zivilgesellschaftliche Engagement aber besonders wichtig.

Als kleine Angestellte im Gesundheitswesen, mit nebenberuflichem Studium, verfüge ich nicht über ausreichende Mittel, um mich im deutschen Zivilrecht gegen das Erlittene zu behaupten. I am asking for your help. For many years, as an individual, I am campaigning against right-wing extremism and racism and I am supporting sufferers from ME/CFS. For that reason, right-wing circles got me on their radar.

What happened: 

In March 2023, I wrote a warning tweet on X (Twitter) relating to a right-wing infiltration of textile handcraft hobby groups. A book author send my tweet to her friend who is an author, too. She (the second author) used the tweet for a chapter in her bestselling book of a German major publishing company in November 2023. In this book, my full name as a private person was called out and I was insulted in a racist way, my identity was doubted and incorrect averments were set.

My reaction:

I found out about the issue on 12/22/2023 and shared it in public on social media to get help and to find a solution. Instead of this, I was confronted with hate, baiting and harassments in the internet. Since that time, I am in a poor physical and mental condition.

What it‘s about:

In my opinion, the intention of the defamation in the book is to hush me, so that I won‘t campaign against right-wing activities etc. anymore. Aside from that, the calling out of my full name in a book substantial endangers and exposes me in an unprecedented way.

My line of action:

For the reasons I explained above, I decided to defend myself legally. First by dissuations against the three stakeholders (authors and publisher) and by two urgent procedures. Till now, I beared the high costs predominantly on my own. A part of it was payed by my legal protection insurance. Unfortunately, I have lost the first urgent procedure at the Hamburg provincial court. The justification is not comprehensible for my lawyer and me. For that reasons, further legal steps must and will have to be done.

The relevance:

In my opinion, it is socially very important to take action against the racisct defamation of a private person by calling out her full name in a book. If this denunciation would become a common way to act, it will hardly be possible for private persons to fight right-wing extremism and discrimination of marginalized people or groups without being defamed and embarrassed. Especially after the disclosure of the German far-right wing plans aiming the deportation of millions of people with a migration background, moral courage commitment is most important.
