Hôtel: ein Hotelzimmer als Symbol für kulturelle und soziale Isolation.

Hôtel: seit Jahren eines meiner Lieblingslieder.

Vor ein paar Wochen spielte ich es mal wieder für mich und hörte es plötzlich in einem anderen Kontext, mit anderen Eindrücken und Gefühlen. Und mit einer neuen Idee: einer anderen Schlusswendung.

Dies ist mein persönlicher Appell- mit der Intention, auch für viele andere Künstler zu sprechen: bitte vergesst uns nicht!

Ich bin unglaublich dankbar und überwältigt von meinen immens talentierten, motivierten und kreativen Freunden und Kollegen, die extrem großzügig mit ihrer Zeit und ihren Talenten waren und sofort, nachdem ich ihnen von meiner Ideen erzählte, mit an Bord waren. Ohne Gage. Aus Überzeugung.

Wir sitzen alle im selben Boot. Gemeinsam schaffen wir das!

Hôtel : a hotel room as a symbol of cultural and social isolation.

Like everyone, I have been searching for ways to cope with the isolation forced upon us in recent weeks.

One way I have found is through playing one of my favourite songs: Hôtel. Playing all alone made me see the piece differently, inspiring the idea of a twist in the end.

This is a personal appeal, but also one on behalf of all artists- please do not forget us!

I am incredibly thankful for, and overwhelmed by, my tremendously talented, motivated and creative friends and colleagues. They have been extremely generous with their time and talent- participating with passion, yet without pay.

We are all in the same boat, but together we can do it!
