Hello everybody,
my name is Markus, I"m german and do live in Lima Peru since 4 years. To be precise... by fault have been in germany for a short visit but at the pandemic and couldnt come back... so all in all I started living here in 2018. In may 2021 took one of the first flights back to Lima.
In 2022 I had an accident at my right eye whereupon I could only see blurry which I could with quite well. The doctors adviced against surgery because the probability of going completely blind is high (scarring directely above the pupil).
I reported the accident to my accident insurance company which I took out when I extended my international health insurance.
In autumn 2024 vision has deteriorated abruptly in short period of time so that I only have a light-dark perception, I can hardly perceive outlines and contures anymore. This corresponds to a visual acuity of 2% or a legal complete blindness.
Legally the accident insurance company carries out a so called disability test after 3 years. First they wanted me to travel to germany, then they changed opinion and confirmed disability but now they want a expert report in germany.
I do work online as a freelancer what actually "nourishes" me well, but there is no money available for a trip. Required funds are necessary for flight, accomodation, reactivation of my german heaalth insurance and other doctors visits for possible corneal transplant.
If you wish you can view all documents, correspondences and medical reports.
I would appreciate your little support.
Take care of yourselves!
Your Mark (as my friends call me)
