Ich war in Vlorë, Albanien als Katzensitterin und habe dort eine Katzenmutter gesehen, die auf der Straße unter den schwersten Bedingungen verzweifelt versucht hat, ihre Babys groß zu ziehen.

Die Mutter konnte ich täglich füttern aber zu den Babys hatte ich keinen Zugang. Leider musste die Familie mehrmals aus ihrem Versteck flüchten und zwei der Babys haben es nicht geschafft. Es hat mehrere Wochen gedauert, bis ich auch das Vertrauen der kleinen Kätzchen bekommen habe, sodass ich sie schließlich zu einem Tierarzt nach Tirana, Albanien bringen konnte.

Dort bleiben sie, bis sie ein Zuhause gefunden haben. Eins der drei Kätzchen hat bereits eins gefunden, die anderen beiden und die Mutter warten noch. Sie sind alle gesund, frei von Würmern, die Kätzchen sind ca. 3 Monate alt, die Mutter ca. 1 Jahr und die Mutter ist sterilisiert.

In Albanien ist es schwieriger für erwachsene Katzen ein Zuhause zu finden, aber vielleicht findet sich die Möglichkeit in einem anderen Land, z. Bsp. Deutschland, wo die Katzenmutter ein Zuhause voller Liebe findet. Die Kätzchen suchen natürlich auch ein liebevolles zu Hause, aber sie sind inzwischen alt genug, um unabhängig von der Mutter zu sein.

Die Katzen können bis zur Vermittlung beim Tierarzt bleiben, daher ist es noch nicht sicher wie hoch die Unterbringungskosten werden. Bis Ende September betrugen sie 660 € und je länger sie dort bleiben, desto weitere Kosten werden folgen.

Um die Unterbringungskosten abzudecken, bitte ich freundlich um Unterstützung und bin froh, um jeden Spendenbetrag, auch die kleinen Summen.

Geld das über die benötigte Summe hinaus geht, wird an Tierorganisationen in Albanien gespendet.

I was in Vlorë, Albania, as a cat sitter and in the near of the apartment I stayed, there was a cat mother with five babys on the street who desperatly tried to raise her babys. She had to hide her kittens and cried for food every day. I fed her daily but had no access to her babys which got milk from their mother. Due to the unsafe surrounding, the family had to flee two times and unfortunately two babys didn't make it.

After three weeks of feeding the mother I gained the trust of the remaining three babys, so I could feed them and bring all four to a vet in Tirana, Albania. There they can stay until they get adopted. They had a lot of parasites but the vet did a great job, so all four cats are complete healthy now, the kittens can grow up in peace and the cat mother got sterilized.

The kittens are old enough now to get adopted (about 3 months) and one kitten already found a new home. Two kittens and the mother are still waiting to get adopted. In Albania it is more difficult for a grown cat like the cat mother (about 1 year old) to find a new home but maybe there is someone from another country (for example Germany) who can give her the loving forever home she deserves. The kittens of course also search for a forever home full of love. All three are healthy, friendly and playful. One kittens is still a bit shy but that will get better after some time.

To cover the accomodation costs of the cats at the vet, I kindly ask for your support and I am very thankful for any amount, also the small ones.

Because it is important for me, that the cats stay safe at the vet until they get adopted, it is not sure how high the costs will get. Until the end of September the costs are at 660 € but further costs will follow. If there should be money left from your donoations in the end, it will be donated to other rescue organizations and shelters in Albania.
