Hello!

We are raising funds on behalf of the Tanzania Vegan Community, founded by Henry Ngwena, to support two private preschools here in Tanzania, Dar Es Salaam. Each school has two classes: a Baby Class for children under 5, and a Preschool Class for children aged 4 and up.

The schools rely entirely on private funding, and we want to help provide healthy vegan meals, learning materials, and a small graduation celebration for the children. Unlike in Germany, where I grew up, these children are already learning to read, write, and do basic math in both Swahili and English – which is amazing and deserves support.

Henry has been living vegan since 2021 and works tirelessly in the community to promote animal welfare, veganism, and social engagement. Through his previous initiatives, he has already successfully raised funds for projects such as wheelchairs for people in need. However, due to local restrictions, he relies on volunteers from abroad to help organize online fundraising.

I have had the privilege to teach English at these preschools and have spoken with the teachers and principals. Every one of them teaches with passion and joy, and the children respond with excitement and curiosity. Our goal is to support the staff and children, make their learning environment even better, and celebrate their achievements together.

How your donation will be used:

- Notebooks, pencils, pens, and laminated learning posters for classrooms

- Certificates for graduating children, small gifts, and decoration

Our project goes beyond vegan meals — it supports a holistic, compassionate education. With your help, we introduce the children to plant-based nutrition as part of their Healthcare lessons, while ensuring that all materials and activities align with sustainable and ethical values. 🌱
