Mein Traum: Ein eigener Sportrollstuhl für Powerchair Football

My dream: My own sports wheelchair for powerchair football (English version below)

Hallo, ich bin Julian, 17 Jahre alt, großer Fußballfan und leidenschaftlicher Powerchair-Football-Spieler. Seit meiner Geburt lebe ich mit einer Muskelerkrankung, die mich an den Elektrorollstuhl bindet. Doch meine Liebe zum Fußball hat mich nie losgelassen, obwohl ich selbst nie spielen konnte.

Vor rund drei Jahren habe ich Powerchair Football für mich entdeckt, eine inklusive, faszinierende Sportart, die es Menschen wie mir ermöglicht, aktiv Fußball zu spielen. Anfangs spielte ich mit meinem Alltagsrollstuhl. Hierin war es allerdings kaum möglich präzise Pässe, schnelle Manöver oder gezielte Schüsse zu spielen. Trotzdem habe ich immer weiter gemacht, nie aufgegeben und daran geglaubt, dass eines Tages ein Sportrollstuhl für mich Realität wird.

Seit einem Jahr darf ich nun mit einem professionellen Sportrollstuhl spielen, der aber nur ausgeliehen ist. Es hat mein Spiel komplett verändert! Plötzlich kann ich schnell reagieren, präzise spielen und noch viel besser am Spiel teilnehmen. Seit einiger Zeit kann ich deswegen auf der wichtigsten Position – was für eine Ehre! Das viele Üben hat sich gelohnt!

Ich spiele bei den Munich Sharks, einem engagierten Powerchair-Football-Team aus München. Wir trainieren einmal pro Woche gemeinsam, mit viel Leidenschaft, Teamgeist und Ehrgeiz. Fünf Mal im Jahr nehmen wir an Bundesliga-Spieltagen teil und messen uns mit anderen Teams aus ganz Deutschland. Seit ein paar Wochen darf ich mich über eine besondere Ehre freuen, ich wurde in das Development-Team der deutschen Powerchair-Football-Nationalmannschaft berufen. Für mich eine riesige Motivation, und ein Ansporn, weiter an mir zu arbeiten.

Jetzt ist es an der Zeit, den nächsten Schritt zu gehen. Mein großer Traum ist ein eigener Sportrollstuhl der perfekt auf mich und meine Bedürfnisse angepasst werden kann. Nur so kann ich langfristig auf hohem Niveau spielen und mich weiterentwickeln. Doch ein solcher Spezialrollstuhl kostet mehrere tausend Euro, eine Summe die ich nicht durch eigene finanzielle Mittel stämmen kann.

Deshalb bitte ich euch um Unterstützung. Jeder Beitrag ob groß oder klein bringt mich meinem Traum ein Stück näher. Gemeinsam können wir es schaffen, für die Liebe zum Sport, für Selbstbestimmung und für gelebte Inklusion.

Hello, I'm Julian, 17 years old, a big football fan and passionate powerchair football player. Since birth, I have lived with a muscle disease that confines me to an electric wheelchair. But my love for football has never left me, even though I have never been able to play myself.

About three years ago, I discovered powerchair football, an inclusive, fascinating sport that allows people like me to actively play football. At first, I played with my everyday wheelchair. However, it was almost impossible to make precise passes, quick maneuvers, or targeted shots in it. Nevertheless, I kept going, never gave up, and believed that one day a sports wheelchair would become a reality for me.

For a year now, I have been able to play with a professional sports wheelchair, but it is only on loan. It has completely changed my game! Suddenly, I can react quickly, play precisely, and participate in the game much better. For some time now, I have been able to play in the most important position—what an honor! All the practice has paid off!

I play for the Munich Sharks, a dedicated powerchair football team from Munich. We train together once a week, with a lot of passion, team spirit, and ambition. Five times a year, we take part in Bundesliga match days and compete against other teams from all over Germany. For a few weeks now, I have had the privilege of being appointed to the development team of the German powerchair football national team. This is a huge motivation for me and an incentive to continue working on myself.

Now it's time to take the next step. My big dream is to have my own sports wheelchair that can be perfectly adapted to me and my needs. Only then can I play at a high level in the long term and continue to develop. But such a special wheelchair costs several thousand euros, a sum that I cannot afford on my own.

That is why I am asking for your support. Every contribution, large or small, brings me one step closer to my dream. Together, we can do it—for the love of sport, for self-determination, and for true inclusion.
