As we reported, Oksana was so severely injured by a ru**ian FPV drone in Druzhkivka on October 26 that her lower leg had to be amputated. Her mother Valentyna was killed in the attack.
Within Ukraine, she was transferred from hospitals in Druzhkivka via Dnipro to Kyiv, where she is currently undergoing treatment. Her condition is now stable, allowing her to be evacuated by ambulance to Germany, where her only remaining family lives. However, this transport must take place lying down, on a drip with painkillers and under supervision.
Although all those involved between Ukraine and Germany are working on a voluntary basis and are paying some of the costs out of their own pockets, we are facing considerable expenses.
These include, above all, the rental of the ambulance and fuel costs. But also medication, consumables, and overnight stays for the paramedics and medical staff as well as other expenses incurred during such a trip. In addition, we want to make a donation to the Ukrainian organizations that are helping us greatly in this endeavor. That is the least we can do.
We currently estimate the cost of transport to be around €3,500, and we have set up two fundraisers to cover this expense.
