Awa, a young woman from Somalia, has fled from her country in 2019 and landed in Switzerland where she was threatened by deportation. Because of its uncertain and dangerous living conditions, it was no option to go back to Somalia. Therefore, while pregnant with the now six weeks old Hussein, she and her six year old daughter Mariam fled to Germany.

Awa is now still in her postpartum period, facing an uncertain reality, with no access to money for food, diapers or medicine.

The only hope are people in solidarity who support them with sleeping places and existential necessities. Awa is also in need of a good lawyer who can help them with implementing their rights.
