Das Samerhill Kids Education Center ist eine kleine Grundschule in Wobulenzi, einer KLeinstadt in Uganda. Während meines einjährigen Aufenthalts in Uganda, habe ich die Schule oft besucht. Die Schule ist ein Lichtblick für viele Familien. Darum habe ich mich dazu entschieden an diesem Projekt mitzuwirken. Seit Januar 2023 ist die Schule stetig am Wachsen. Innerhalb weniger Monate besuchen bereits mehr als 100 Schüler*innen die Schule.

Das Besondere an der Samerhill Kids. sind die niedrigen Schulgebühren. So wird vielen Schüler*innen die Chance auf Bildung gegeben. Der Schulleiterin Kyomukama Oliver war es wichtig durch niedrige Schulgebühren möglichst vielen Kindern Unterricht und auch Mittagessen bieten zu können.

Doch es muss noch viel gemacht werden an der Schule. Es fehlen gute Sanitäranlagen oder eine Grundstücksbegrenzung. Darüber hinaus müssen wir weitere Ausbesserungen an dem Gebäude vornehmen.

Daher planen wir als nächstes folgende Schritte :

• Streichen der Innenwände
• getrenntgeschlechtliche Toiletten aus Backsteinen
• Ausbesserung Ausstattung

Leider schafft es das Samerhill Kids Education Center nicht aus eigener Kraft weiterzuwachsen und ist deshalb auf deine Spenden angewiesen. Ich arbeite eng mit der Schulleiterin und Mitwirkenden des Projekts zusammen und informiere alle Spender*innen über alle Entwicklungen.

The Samerhill Kids Education Center is a small primary school in Wobulenzi, a small town in Uganda. During my one-year stay in Uganda I often visited the school. The school is a ray of hope for many families. That's why I decided to work on this project. The school has been growing steadily since it opened in January 2023. Within just a few month, more than 100 pupils were already attending the school.

The special thing about the Samerhill Kids Education Center is the low school fees. This gives many students a chance. It was important to the headmistress Kyomukama Oliver to be able to offer lessons and lunch to as many Children as possible by keeping the school fees low.

But a lot still needs to be done at the school. There is a need of good sanitary facilities and a wall fence. Also, further improvements need to be made to the building .

That's why we are planning as the following steps:

• Painting the Inside
• separate toilets out of bricks
• further equipment
