Our dear colleague and friend Volker Winkler passed away suddenly and peacefully on 22 December 2025. He was an extraordinary scientist and a deeply generous and thoughtful person who touched the lives of many.

This campaign has been created to support Volker’s wife and his daughters who are currently facing significant financial difficulties following his sudden passing.
