Description

Let me tell you our story.

My wife (a Filipina) and I met online in August 2024 and quickly connected and fell in love. In October 2024, we met for the first time in Nicosia, Cyprus, where my wife was working as a domestic helper, 12 hours a day, 6 days a week, for €400. The meeting was like a dream.

In December 2024, we spent Christmas and New Year's together and got engaged on January 1, 2025, deciding to marry as soon as possible.

We then married on May 19, 2024.

Now we're dealing with the spousal reunification visa. The requirements are manageable, but time-consuming and expensive. The first blow: my wife was laid off because of our inheritance, accommodation, and job. According to Cypriot law, as a married woman, she is no longer allowed to work. For that, she would need a different visa, which would allow me to establish a second residence in Nicosia and rent an apartment for a year. Since we hoped everything would be resolved within three to six months, we abandoned that idea. So, from now until today, I have to pay for her apartment and living expenses, in addition to my own housing costs, living expenses, loan payments, document authentication costs, and payments to friends who obtained and sent the documents to us in the Philippines. Furthermore, I flew to Nicosia four times to see my wife. The biggest problem was getting an appointment at the German embassy in Nicosia. This was, and still is, impossible, and can only be done online; no changes can be made by phone. We were on the verge of despair. In November 2025, we had gathered all the necessary documents and decided to try to book an appointment at the embassy in Manila, which was unexpectedly easy and scheduled for January 8, 2026.

... Furthermore, on December 19, 2025, I flew to Nicosia, packed her belongings there, and flew together to Manila on December 22, 2025.

Between Christmas and New Year's, my wife and I studied German for the new interview and prepared everything for our appointment. The interview went smoothly, and we are now waiting for the immigration office to issue the visa. My wife is currently waiting in the Philippines for her entry.

Our marriage has put me in a real bind. I've incurred debt, and now I have the problem that my wife isn't allowed to enter Germany because of my debts. I don't want to mention the sums involved here; it amounts to several thousand euros.

Perhaps there is someone who would like to help us so that we can finally live together in Germany.

I know that some people might think this is outrageous, but they don't understand how German authorities operate and how they make life difficult with endless bureaucracy.

... Thank you very much in advance for your support and I am happy to answer any questions.
