🐾 Help Save Oscar's Eye! 🐱

Many of you have been keeping your fingers crossed for our senior boy, Kleiner. We had the feeling that something wasn't quite right, so on June 25 we took him to the vet for a thorough health check. He had an abdominal ultrasound, skull X-rays, a urine analysis, and a complete blood panel. The good news is: everything looks great! Considering his age, all of his results are completely normal. It seems that the main issue was a heavier parasite infestation than expected. After a proper deworming treatment, Kleiner is feeling much better and is now happily spending the current heatwave with us at the dive centre.Thank you all so much for your kind thoughts, encouragement, and generous donations. Your support makes it possible for us to give cats like Kleiner the care they deserve. With gratitude,Valerja, Gorden & the Marfa Bay Cats

As the year draws to a close, we would like to give you a brief look back at our 2025 with the Marfa Bay Cats – a year filled with happy moments, but also with sad goodbyes. This year, we welcomed new arrivals Maximus and Phoenix, both of whom were quickly neutered. Towards the end of the year, Saga and Loki also joined our colony. Saga appeared in November, nothing but skin and bones, and since then we have been caring for her and helping her regain her strength. Loki still needs to be trapped for his neutering, which is planned soon. Our big boss Kleiner is doing wonderfully after his major bladder stone surgery and is thoroughly enjoying his special food, which he now receives every day.We are especially proud that we were able to successfully rehome two sweet little cats abroad and personally deliver them to their new families – Fortuna found her new loving home in Germany in January and Daisy in France in July.Sadly, 2025 also brought four farewells. In February, we lost Aurora, and in October we had to say goodbye to our sweet old Aphrodite. We were also taken by surprise by the passing of little Robbie and our ever-happy Heidi. These were very difficult times for us.Despite the sadness, we look back – and ahead – with gratitude and hope. We know that we were able to give each of them the best life possible, and we continue to do so for the more than 20 cats still in our care – all thanks to your generous support. We wish you a wonderful Christmas and a happy and healthy New Year.Thank you for standing by us.Valerija, Gorden and the Marfa Bay Cats 🐾
