Denn es ist die Phantasie, die uns erlaubt Grenzen zu überschreiten, Imaginationsräume aufzumachen und unseren Frohsinn zu behalten, um Zeiten, wie diese zu meistern! Susanna Wüstneck (Regisseurin)
Die Pandemie greift um sich und es wird still im Land.
Tanzsäle sind leer, Klubs sind geschlossen, Theater- und Kinovorführungen sind rar, Musikfestivals sind abgesagt, Veranstaltungstechniker fegen ihre Hallen und der Kampf gegen bürokratische Hürden hat begonnen. Auch für meinen Freund Guenther und mich- selbst Filmemacher und Musiker - verändert sich vieles.
Also starten wir eine „Online-Session“, ein Experiment, um der plötzlichen Stille etwas entgegenzusetzen und die Verbindung zu unseren Kolleg*Innen und Freund*innen nicht zu verlieren.
Von Beruf sind sie - wie wir - Kulturschaffende: Musiker*Innen, Schauspieler*Innen,Tänzer*- Innen, Veranstaltungs- techniker*Innen, Veranstalter*Innen, Autor*Innen.
Und plötzlich nicht mehr systemrelevant.
Als es wieder möglich wird, reisen wir zu ihnen - von der Ostsee nach Oberbayern, von Berlin ins Münsterland.
Wir suchen sie auf, um zu erfahren, wie es ihnen in dieser Pandemie geht.
Viele von ihnen arbeiten als Soloselbständige, dessen Einkommen von der Anzahl der Auftritte abhängt. Andere arbeiten dafür, dass die Künstler*Innen ihre Werke zeigen können.
Wieder andere brauchen die Kunst, die sie machen, vor allem für die Seele und den Austausch mit Gleichgesinnten.
So ist unsere Reise geprägt von persönlichen Geschichten über den Lockdown- es geht um ihre Sorgen, ihre Ansichten, kreative Lösungen und dem Glück des künstlerischen Schaffens.
Es geht um die Bedeutung von Kunst und Kultur für die Gesellschaft und jeden Einzelnen. Was macht es mit uns, wenn es still wird? Kann Kunst und Kultur verloren gehen und was wird sich verändert haben, wenn es vorbei ist?

The pandemic is spreading and the country is quiet.
Dance halls are empty, clubs are closed, theater and cinema screenings are rare, music festivals are canceled, event technicians are sweeping their halls and the fight against bureaucratic hurdles has begun. Much is changing for my friend Guenther and myself - filmmakers and musicians.
So we start an "online session", an experiment to counteract the sudden silence and not to lose the connection to our colleagues and friends.
By profession they are - like us - cultural workers: musicians, actors, dancers, event technicians, organizers, authors.
And suddenly no longer systemically relevant.
When it becomes possible again, we travel to them - from the Baltic Sea to Upper Bavaria, from Berlin to the Muensterland.
We seek them out to find out how they are doing in this pandemic.
Many of them work as solo self-employed, whose income depends on the number of performances. Others work to ensure that the artists can show their works.
Still others need the art that they make, especially for the soul and the exchange with like-minded people.
Our journey is shaped by personal stories about the lockdown - it is about their worries, their views, creative solutions and the happiness of artistic creation.
It is about the importance of art and culture for society and each individual. What does it do to us when it gets quiet? Can art and culture be lost and what will have changed when it's over?
