English version:
Dear donors,
Dear friends,
Just over two months have passed since the devastating explosion in Beirut which had a dramatic impact on the country's catastrophic political situation. More than 300,000 people lost their homes, more than 230 lost their lives- all this happened amidst the most devastating economic and political crisis the country has witnessed since the end of the civil war. The destruction is still clearly visible and tangible today. The cityscape has drastically changed, just as life in the city.
With our fundraiser we wanted to help those who need it most and with your help we managed to collect more than 30.000€ to do exactly that here in Beirut. We personally distributed the donations and in this email, we would like to inform you about where exactly the money went.
Finally, we would like to thank everyone who shared the fundraiser, donated and shed light on the situation here. If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to reach out.
With love from Beirut,
Ginan Osman and Anna Fleischer
