Bryn's 2nd Physio Rehab 17-28.11 going great
Bryn wunsch-Grafton · 24.11.2025
Dear All,Just a short update on Bryn's 2nd Rehab (intensive specialised physio) from the lady herself translated from the Austrian:"Warm greetings everyone. Thank you for helping. The first week was really good , the team here (Marek, Juraj & Marina) I really like them. "It's been snowing quite a bit so we are glad to have the wheelchair transporter nearly finished which makes life loads easier and my back is still in good shape (in contrast to last time when it hurt for 3 months).Bryn's super focused again especially as days are longer this time. Will let you know what the final report brings for transfer back to her community and when she's with us.This one was actually sponsored by a charity in Austria so it means her next session June 2026 is still mostly covered by your contributions here and some direct to Bryn's account. Many thanks, it was very hard to get motivated this time as some things took the wind out of our sails, but now rocking again and on our own course.Love & hugs, BRYN, BnBPS. Will add some photos when the upload function works.

Just wow & 2.rehab intensive in Nov
Bryn wunsch-Grafton · 16.07.2025
Dear Family , friends and supporters of Bryn,We finished the first intensive Rehabilitation weeks last Friday, tired and very happy! We just wanted to say that it completely exceeded expectations 🤩🥇⚡️and thank you from our hearts. Here are some highlights:The Goal of the first rehab session from June 30th to July 11th, 2025, at Renona Rehabilitation in Semmering = Remobilisation 1st week: Relaxation of spasticity and reduction of anxiety 2nd week: Bryn actively participates, not just passively treated = keyword: she needs to move herself to become and remain more mobile. Conclusion:Bryn was extremely motivated and made a lot of progress with the help of a very competent and consistent rehab team in a small business, and she had a lot of fun. - It was very beneficial, and she & I noticed it every day, as the care and transfers improved many times over and became a lot less strenuous (despite back pain at end of 2 weeks)- She is much more mobile and active.- Bryn was able to achieve better brain-body coordination, more focus, more self-confidence, and more self-help. - She reactivated her right side a lot including. hand, leg, foot!!- 50% is psychological: She hugely increased confidence and motivation in movement (reduction of fear e.g. "no," "ouch," etc.) - Psychological progress: much more confident, no more "argh," "no," interruptions, a great deal of self-motivation and personal responsibility- 60% of spasticity reduced for now - Bryn now seems more aware of the health of her caregivers (less passive and less in her comfort zone at the expense of her caregivers) - Breathing is much better and more effective; standing while walking, dressing, showering, and grooming is easier. - We are much more positive now looking towards the years and care ahead. There were many take-aways and transfer steps from the debrief on 11.7.25 for back in her community and when she visits or is on holiday with us. The list is 2 pages long and very concrete actions and steps. It was a gamble which totally exceeded expectations. So we agreed her next reha is from 17-28.111.2025 with the goal of building on the 1st Reha results and on the work done from now till then @ her community and with us. It is booked and paid for already from the Crowd fund and the transfers to Bryn’s personal account (and there in her sub-account reserved for Bryns Physio Rehabilitation Costs)And we hope to be able to get her back to hippo-therapy asap (after a year’s break due to search on part of her therapist for a new for riding centre & Bryns physical decline). Many thanks Bryns people and thank you too for having our backs some, it makes a huge difference mentally and practically,Love,BRYN, Ben & Barbara
