Ein Weihnachtswunder für ein Dorf in Morogoro – und du kannst ein Teil davon sein

For a better life geht in die 2. Runde, denn wir haben etwas begonnen und dürfen es auch weiterführen.. Es geht um die Waisen- und Straßenkinder in Morogoro. Um ihr Dorf. Ihr Zuhause. Um ihre Zukunft.

Vor knapp vier Jahren (März 2022) konnten wir dank eurer Großzügigkeit eine Wasserversorgung aufbauen, die damals alles verändert hat. Wasser bedeutete: Essen aus dem eigenen Garten, bessere Hygiene, gesund Menschen, gesunde Tiere, saubere Kleidung, ein Stück Würde und Sicherheit.

Doch in den letzten Jahren ging dieses System leider Stück für Stück kaputt. Die Pumpe fiel ständig aus. Der Generator hielt den harten Bedingungen im Busch nicht stand. Monat für Monat neue Reparaturen, kurze Hoffnung und wieder Stillstand.

In den letzten 6-7 Monaten kam schließlich gar kein Wasser mehr – aus einer Tiefe von 200 Metern kann nichts mehr hochgepumpt werden, obwohl dort Wasser vorhanden ist. Die Trockenzeit ist zurzeit auf ihrem absoluten Höhepunkt. Die Dorfbewohner, Kinder und Tiere stehen seit Monaten ohne fließendes Wasser da.

Alle kämpfen gerade mit etwas, das für uns selbstverständlich ist: Zugang zu Wasser. Flüsse sind ausgetrocknet, der Weg zum nächsten Wasserloch ist lang und dauert Stunden. Daher kümmern wir (mein Mann und ich, Stefanie) uns seit Monaten darum, dass uns Wasser geliefert wird. Obwohl wir doch doch eine Wasserversorgung haben..

Die alte Wasserversorgung kann nicht mehr provisorisch geflickt werden. Seit Monaten erreichen uns Arbeiter aus verschiedensten Orten, doch keine Chance. Die Wasserpumpe und der Generator sind hinüber. 

Doch auch ein Ende, ist der Beginn von etwas Neuem.

Es ist Zeit für eine Transformation - eine langfristig sinnvolle!

Wir wollen neu denken: nachhaltig, stark und zukunftssicher.

> Mit einem Solarsystem.

> Mit einer neuen, hochwertigen Pumpe.

> Mit Materialien, die den Bedingungen standhalten – damit das Dorf nicht wieder in ein paar Monaten vor dem nächsten Problem steht, sondern langfristig versorgt ist.

Für mich ist das dieses Jahr das wertvollste Weihnachtsgeschenk, das wir ihnen machen können:

> dass die Kinder wieder ihren Garten pflegen können,

> dass sie Gemüse anbauen können,

> dass Menschen & Tiere wieder gut versorgt sind,

> dass ihr Zuhause wieder fließendes Wasser bekommt!

Wir haben bereits einige kaputte Teile verkauft und konnten davon ungefähr 120€ einbringen. Wir legen selbst noch 380€ dazu, und damit stehen die ersten 500€ für das Projekt bereit! 🥳

Das aktuelle Angebot liegt bei 21.500.000 Millionen TZ-Shillings = umgerechnet 7678€ (1€ = 2800 TZ Shillings) von einer Firma in Morogoro die sich auf Solarsysteme spezialisiert hat. Der Besitzer der Firma war bereits vor Ort hat alles begutachtet und uns ein Angebot gestellt. Für die Inspektion und Begutachtung aller vorhandenen Teile wurden bereits 500.000 TZ Shillings bezahlt, die bei Annahme des Angebots abgezogen werden.

--> Damit sind noch genau 7.500€ offen für dieses Weihnachtswunder!

In dem Angebot sind folgende Teile enthalten:

> Eine neue, stärkere Wasserpumpe die für Solarelektrizität ausgelegt ist

> Ein komplettes Solarsystem - Panele, Plattform, komplettes Anschlusssystem und Steuerungskasten bzw. Ladekontrollbox

> Batterie für Strom-Back Up in der Regenzeit (und bewölkte Tage)

> Neue Leitungen für das 200 tiefe Wasserloch 

Der Start: Sobald die erste Hälfte an Spenden eingenommen wurde, kann das Projekt in die Umsetzung gehen und wir können die Firma beauftragen mit dem neuen System zu starten und die ersten Materialien dafür bestellen. Updates dazu wird es von uns auf Instagram geben.

A Christmas miracle for a village in Morogoro – and you can be part of it

For a better life is entering its second round, because we started something — and we are allowed to carry it forward.

This is about the orphaned and street children in Morogoro. About their village. Their home. Their future.

Almost four years ago (March 2022), thanks to your generosity, we were able to build a water supply system that changed everything.

Water meant: food from their own garden, better hygiene, healthy people, healthy animals, clean clothes, a sense of dignity and safety.

But over the past years, this system slowly broke down.

The pump kept failing. The generator could not withstand the harsh bush conditions. Month after month: new repairs, brief hope — and then another breakdown.

Over the last 6–7 months, no water has come up at all.

From a depth of 200 meters, nothing can be pumped anymore — even though water is there. The dry season is currently at its absolute peak.

For months now, villagers, children, and animals have been living without running water. Everyone is struggling with something we take for granted: access to water.

Rivers have dried up, and the walk to the nearest water source is long and takes hours.

That is why we (my husband and I, Stefanie) have been organizing water deliveries for months — even though there is a water supply system.

The old water system can no longer be temporarily patched up.

For months, workers from many different places have come to try — with no success. The water pump and the generator are beyond repair.

Every ending is also the beginning of something new.

It is time for a transformation — one that truly makes sense in the long term.

We want to rethink everything: sustainably, strongly, and future-proof.

• With a solar system
• With a new, high-quality pump
• With materials that can withstand the conditions — so the village does not face the next problem again in just a few months, but is supplied with water for the long term

For me, this is the most valuable Christmas gift we can give them this year:

• that they can take care of their gardens & grow vegetables again
• that people and animals are properly cared for again
• that their homes has running water once again

The current quote is 21,500,000 Tanzanian Shillings, which equals approximately €7,678 (€1 = 2,800 TZS), from a company in Morogoro that specializes in solar systems. The owner of the company has already been on site, inspected everything, and provided us with this quote.

500,000 TZS have already been paid for the inspection and assessment of all existing parts — this amount will be deducted if we accept the offer.

➡️ This means that exactly €7,500 are still needed for this Christmas miracle!

The offer includes the following components:

• a new, more powerful water pump designed for solar electricity
• a complete solar system — panels, mounting platform, full connection system, and control / charge controller box
• a battery for power backup during the rainy season (and cloudy days)
• new pipes for the 200-meter-deep borehole

Getting started: As soon as half of the required donations have been raised, the project can move into implementation. We will commission the company to start with the new system and order the first materials.
