Gemeinsam für ASOMOBIs Frauen und Familien

Guten Tag! Nachdem wir uns schon mehrfach bei allen Spender*innen für die großzügige Unterstützung bedankt haben, geht unser Dank heute in eine ganz andere Richtung. Eine solche Spendenaktion bedarf großen organisatorischen Aufwandes. Häufig klang es in unseren Publikationen so, als wären nur wir deutschen ehemaligen Freiwilligen für alles verantwortlich. Dem ist aber in keinster Weise so. Wir möchten an dieser Stelle unseren herzlichen Dank vor allem an Óscar ausrichten. Er kommt selbst aus Biolley und macht dieses Jahr seinen Freiwilligendienst in Deutschland. Gerade in der schwierigen Zeit von Corona hat er uns tatkräftig bei der Organisation des Projektes und insbesondere den professionellen Übersetzungen all unser Texte ins Spanische geholfen. Auch die Neuigkeiten über die aktuelle Lage konnten nur durch seine aufmerksame Medienverfolgung verfasst werden. Muchísimas gracias, Óscar! Es geht um Doña Hortensia, eine der Gründungsmitglieder der Organisation. Bei ihr entwickelt sich in der Hand eine sogenannte Dupuytren-Kontraktur, eine Erkrankung der Sehnen, die durch Verkürzung zu einer schmerzhaften Beugestellung der Finger kommt und die Hand stark funktionseinschränkt. In ihrer Familie und im Freundeskreis sammelt sie Geld für die Operation, die aufgrund einer akuten Verschlechterung zeitnah durchgeführt werden muss und wir unterstützen sie darin mit 50.000 colones (ca. 80 Euro). [Versión en español debajo] [English version below] Zum Abschluss unseres vierten Spendenmonats möchten wir noch einmal über die akutelle Lage in Costa Rica berichten. Seit dem 6. März bis heute wurden 34.463 Corona-Fälle vermerkt. 362 Personen sind verstorben und 12.758 Personen gelten als genesen. Die Regierung von Costa Rica sowie die Gesundheitsbehörden des Landes geben weiterhin regelmäßige Pressekonferenzen, in denen sie die Bevölkerung über die aktuelle Situation informieren. In den letzen Tagen kamen viele Neu-Infektionen hinzu; zwischen 500 und 1.000 am Tag. An einem Tag wurden sogar 1.059 Neu-Infektionen festgestellt. Der Landkreis Buenos Aires, in dem Biolley liegt, ist weiterhin als Alarmstufe gelb eingestuft, was ein mittelhohes Ansteckungsrisiko bedeutet. Auch im Distrikt Biolley selbst wurden bereits einige Fälle vermerkt. Die von der Regierug ergriffenen Maßnahmen sind die selben, die bei unserer letzten Aktualisierung beschrieben wurden. Es ist anzumerken, dass aufgrund dieser Krise die Arbeitslosigkeit stark zugenommen hat und hiervon insbesondere Frauen betroffen sind. Die Arbeitslosigkeit in Costa Rica erreichte in den ersten Monaten der COVID-19-Pandemie (März, April, Mai und Juni) 24%. Die Arbeitslosenquote der männlichen Bevölkerung wurde dabei auf 20% (282.000 Männer) geschätzt, während die Arbeitslosenquote von Frauen sogar 30,4% betrug (269.000 Frauen). Vor der Pandemie lag die Arbeitslosenquote in Costa Rica bei 12,4% (Informationen aktualisiert am 24.08.2020; Quelle: www.ministeriodesalud.go.cr) .............................................................................................. Situación actual en Costa Rica: Al final de nuestro cuarto mes de donación, nos gustaría informar nuevamente sobre la situación actual en Costa Rica. Desde el 6 de marzo al día de hoy se han reportado 34 463 casos de Coronavirus en Costa Rica, 362 personas fallecidas y 12 758 personas recuperadas. El gobierno de Costa Rica y las autoridades de salud del país continúan dando conferencias de prensa para informar a la población sobre la situación. En las últimos días se han reportado muchos casos; entre 500 y 1 000 por día e incluso en un día se reportaron 1 059 casos. El cantón de Buenos Aires, donde se ubica Biolley, está en estos momentos en alerta amarilla y en el distrito Biolley ya se han reportado casos. Las medidas que se están tomando son similares a las que se mencionaron en la actualización anterior. Cabe destacar que debido a esta crisis, el desempleo ha aumentado mucho y las mujeres son las que se han visto más afectadas. El desempleo en Costa Rica alcanzó el 24 % en los primeros meses de la pandemia de la COVID-19 (marzo, abril, mayo y junio). La tasa de desempleo de la población masculina se estimó en 20% (282 mil hombres), mientras que la tasa de desempleo femenina fue de 30,4% (269 mil mujeres). Antes de la pandemia el nivel de desempleo en Costa Rica era menor: 12,4%. The situation in Costa Rica: At the end of our fourth month of the donation project, we would like to report back on the current situation in Costa Rica. Nachdem die ersten Frauen in der vergangenen Woche ihre Obstbäume erhalten (und schon gepflanzt) haben, soll es nun auch für die nächsten Frauen die angekündigte Unterstützung geben. Typisch sind in der Region Hochbeete mit einem Plastikdach, zum Schutz der Pflanzen vor den starken Regenfällen. Fast jede Familie hat ein eigenes Beet und baut darin das Gemüse für den täglichen Gebrauch an. Nicht nur Salat, Gurken oder Tomaten, auch Frühlingszwiebeln, Weißkohl und vor allem der typische Koriander sind sehr beliebt und werden regelmäßig zum Kochen verwendet. Angepasst an die individuelle Größe des Hochbeets erhalten die Frauen bis zu acht Meter stabile Plastikfolie und können damit die Dächer reparieren. Zwei Socias probieren sogar etwas Neues aus und pflanzen das Gemüse in Löchern direkt im Sack mit Pflanzerde an. So wird das Unkraut auf natürliche Art und Weise reduziert. Um das unvermeidliche Gießen zu erleichtern gab es zudem die Möglichkeit, eine Gießkanne oder einen Schlauch zu wählen. Um eine sichere Ernte zu erleichtern, erhalten die Frauen außerdem noch einige Säcke mit organischer Pflanzenerde. Wir wünschen den Frauen und ihren Familien viel Erfolg beim Bau und dem Anbau! Invernaderos ¡Seguimos con verduras! Después de que las primeras mujeres recibieron (y ya plantaron) sus árboles frutales la semana pasada, se da apoyo ahora a aquellas mujeres que necesitaban los materiales para construcción de invernaderos. Las camas elevadas con techo de plástico para proteger las plantas de las fuertes lluvias son típicas en la región. Casi todas las familias tienen su propia cama y la usan para cultivar vegetales para el uso diario. No solo la lechuga, el pepino o los tomates, sino también los cebollinos, el repollo blanco y, sobre todo, el típico cilantro son muy populares y se usan regularmente para cocinar. Adaptadas al tamaño individual del invernadero, las mujeres reciben hasta ocho metros de plástico resistente y pueden usarlo para reparar los techos. Dos socias incluso prueban una nueva especie y plantan las verduras en agujeros directamente en el saco con tierra para macetas. Por lo tanto, las malas hierbas se reducen de forma natural. Para facilitar el riego inevitable, también existía la opción de elegir una regadera o una manguera. Greenhouses We continue the second phase with vegetables! After the first group received and planted their fruit trees last week, support is now being given to the women who requested materials to build greenhouses, which will consist of raised beds and plastic coverings to protect the plants from heavy rains. Almost all the families have their own vegetable gardens where they grow food for daily use like lettuce, cucumbers, tomatoes, chives, cabbage, and coriander, which is very popular for many dishes typical of the region. The women will receive up to eight meters of sturdy plastic tailored to the size of the greenhouses. Two members are even trying a new species and planting the vegetables directly in holes in the potted soil sacks to naturally reduce weeds. The women were also given a choice of a watering can or hose to facilitate watering. To ensure a safe and healthy harvest, the women were also provided with organic potting soil. Toll, dass Sie uns in dieser Zeit unterstützt haben! Ähnlich wie vor einem guten Monat, als wir die Behandlung von César nach seinem Motorradunfall unterstützt haben, nutzen wir jetzt erneut etwas von dem für medizinische Notfälle beiseitegelegten Geldes. Doña Alice, eine der Socias von ASOMOBI ist vor rund 2 Monaten bei der Arbeit gestürzt. Dabei hat sie sich das linke Handgelenk gebrochen. Sie musste ins Krankenhaus in San Vito (ca. eine Stunde Autofahrt) und hat dort einen Gips für vier Wochen erhalten. Erfreulicherweise heilte der Bruch an sich, dank dem Gips, gut ab. Allerdings ist es durch die Fehlhaltung zusätzlich zu einer Schleimbeutelentzündung der linken Schulter gekommen, die ebenfalls sehr schmerzhaft ist und durch Injektionen behandelt wird. Zum Glück ist Doña Alice Rechtshänderin. Dennoch ist sie durch den Bruch stark eingeschränkt und kann keine schweren Lasten heben und auch Hausarbeit, wie beispielsweise Fegen, nicht erledigen. Glücklicherweise wird sie durch ihren jugendlichen Sohn unterstützt. Wir entschieden uns dazu, sie für die Behandlungskosten mit 50.000 colones (ca. 80 Euro) aus dem Spendenprojekt zu unterstützen. Sie spricht dafür ihren herzlichen Dank aus und wünscht allen Unterstützer*innen alles Gute. Wir wünschen ihr gute Besserung! .............................................................................................. Accidente de Doña Alice ¡Buen día estimados donantes! Hoy es 25 de julio y cumplimos 3 meses de haber iniciado nuestro proyecto. ¡Es genial que nos haya apoyado durante este tiempo! Al igual que hace un mes cuando apoyamos el tratamiento de César después de su accidente en la motocicleta, vamos a usar otra vez una parte del dinero para accidentes. Doña Alice, una de las socias de ASOMOBI, se cayó hace dos meses mientras trabajaba. Se fracturó la muñeca de la mano izquierda. Tuvo que ir al hospital de San Vito (aproximadamente 1 hora en carro) y le pusieron un yeso por 4 semanas. Con eso, gracias a Dios, el proceso de sanación va muy bien. Pero debido a que tuvo que usar el brazo de una manera diferente, sufrió una bursitis en el hombro derecho que duele mucho y ocupa un tratamiento con inyecciones. Gracias a Dios Doña Alice trabaja más con la mano derecha. Pero aún sí es muy grande la limitación en la vida diaria, por ejemplo, no puede alzar cosas pesadas ni barrer. Por suerte su hijo adolescente le ayuda. Decidimos apoyar a Doña Alice para poder pagar las visitas al doctor con 50,000 colones (aprox. 80 Euros) del proyecto de donaciones. Doña Alice's Accident Hello dear donors, It is the 25th of the month again, so we have reached our third full month of the donation project! We are so happy and grateful for your support during this time! Similarly to last month when we helped with César's treatment after his motorcycle accident, we are going to use some of the money set aside for accidents again. Doña Alice, a member of ASOMOBI, fell two months ago while working. She fractured her left wrist and had to go to the hospital in San Vito (about an hour away). She had to wear the cast for four weeks, but the healing process is going well, thank goodness. However, because she had to use her arm in a different way while her wrist healed, she suffered bursitis in her shoulder, which is painful and requires injection treatment. Luckily, Doña Alice works more with her right hand, but the limits to her daily routine are still great. For example, it is difficult to lift things or sweep. Es wurde Kontakt zu einer Gärtnerei in Pérez Zeledón aufgenommen, die eine Auswahl von rund 50 verschiedenen Bäumen anbieten. Jede der Frauen wählte eine individuelle Zusammenstellung aus. Neben Bäumen von Zitrusfrüchten wie Orangen und Zitronen, wurden auch viele Avocado-Bäume gewünscht. Aber auch in Deutschland unbekanntere Sorten, wie Wasseräpfel (Manzana de agua) oder Stachelannone (Guanabana) sind mit dabei. Es handelt sich um veredelte Bäume, die eine schnellere und produktivere Ernte versprechen. Durch Unterstützung eines lokalen Agrar-Ingeneurs wurde für jede Socia ein individueller Plan erstellt, in dem die empfohlenen Abstände und die Pflanztiefe für die Bäume aufgeführt werden und angeben wird, wie viel Kalk und Dünger benötigt werden. Je nach Preis erhalten die Frauen 6 bis 11 Bäume und zudem eine geeignete Menge an Dünger. Wir wünschen den Familien viel Glück beim Anbau und hoffen, dass schon in wenigen Jahren die ersten Früchte geerntet werden können. Damit können auch in Zukunft vielfältige frische Natur-Saftgetränke hergestellt werden, der typische Gallo Pinto (Reis mit roten oder schwarzen Bohnen) mit Avocados begleitet oder Marmeladen hergestellt und eventuell verkauft werden, um zusätzlich ein kleines Einkommen zu haben. Como ya se anunció, una parte de las socias escogió árboles frutales en la segunda fase de nuestro proyecto. Se puso en contacto con un vivero en Pérez Zeledón, que ofrece una selección de alrededor de 50 especies diferentes. Cada una de las mujeres eligió una combinación de especies específica, según lo que necesitaban. Además de los cítricos como las naranjas y los limones, también se seleccionaron muchos árboles de aguacate. Pero también hay otros árboles menos conocidos como las manzanas de agua o la guanábana. Los árboles son injertados y prometen una cosecha más rápida y productiva. Con el apoyo de un ingeniero agrónomo local, se elaboró ​​un plan individual para cada socia, que detalla las distancias recomendadas, la profundidad de siembra de los árboles y la cantidad de cal y fertilizantes necesarios. In individuellen Gesprächen mit jedem Mitglied, haben die Organisatorinnen vor Ort Pakete ausgearbeitet und für jede Socia etwas Passendes ausgewählt. 11 Socias werden Obstbäume erhalten, die sie mit professionellen Tipps eines Agrar-Ingenieurs in optimalen Bedingungen anpflanzen können. 9 Familien sollen mit Materialien für die dort üblichen Hochbeete für den Gemüseanbau unterstützt werden, wie beispielsweise mit Dünger, Erde und Materialien für den Bau. Como prometimos, la segunda fase de nuestro proyecto de donación ha comenzado. Pudimos enviar el dinero que se donó a Costa Rica, donde se harán las primeras entregas en los próximos días. Para la fase actual, 10 socias renunciaron al apoyo porque no viven en Biolley y/o tienen un ingreso en la crisis del Coronavirus (por ejemplo maestras). Esto deja a 26 mujeres que recibirán apoyo. En conversaciones individuales con cada socia, las organizadoras elaboraron paquetes con diferentes opciones y seleccionaron algo adecuado para cada una de ellas. 11 socias recibirán árboles frutales, que pueden plantar en condiciones óptimas con consejos profesionales de un ingeniero agrónomo. 9 familias serán apoyadas con materiales para el cultivo de vegetales, por ejemplo con plástico para el techo de los invernaderos y fertilizantes, así como también tierra con nutrientes para macetas.
