Hallo ihr alle,auch weil ich ein paar Nachfragen bekommen hatte, melde mich mich heute mit ein paar Updates, wie es weitergegangen ist mit Justin, John und Kasay (soweit ich davon weiß). Die drei sind nach einigen Monaten aus Nairobi nach Goma zurückgekehrt. Das ist was Justin mir schrieb: “We came back early September, and since then the three of us are hiding in different places in Goma, for security reasons. A few days after our arrival in Goma, I was a victim of a horrible robbery and torture by several bandits, on September 6 at 2 a.m. during the night Unfortunately, at the neighbors' house they shot a person. For me and my friends we had care and psychological support for two weeks, for today we are well. We were forced to change the neighborhood for another neighborhood still in Goma. Since September 6 until today I am without any documents, identity papers, without clothes, without computer, and telephone, and specifically being without papers in Goma is very dangerous. On the ground in the territories the war continues.”Das sind natürlich sehr frustrierende Nachrichten, und es zeigt wie schwierig die Situation ist - auch wenn DRC aus unseren Nachrichten schon lange wieder verschwunden ist. Ich konnte Justin erstmal 250 € überweisen, wobei er 500 $ braucht um die Papiere wiederzubekommen. Wir sind im Moment in Verhandlungen mit CAD (https://www.climateactivistdefenders.org) und hoffen von ihnen das nötige Geld zu bekommen. Wenn ihr nochmal etwas geben wollt, jeder Euro ist willkommen, einfach auch zum Überleben, und als Zeichen der Solidarität! Auch gerne Grüße, die leite ich ihm gerne weiter! Was ich total beeindruckend finde ist, ist das Justin durchgehend auch politische Ideen hat und super viel Antrieb. Justin und deine Gruppe bedankt sich sehr für die _Spenden, die bisher eingingen! Wir konnten bislang 1800 Euro zusammebekommen, was wirklich großartig ist. Zusätzlich zu dem Geld, was Justin und seine Gruppe wirklich mehr als dringend brauchen, hat Ihnen die Solidarität von so vielen Menschen sehr sehr gut getan.Die Lage hat sich immer weiter zugespitzt, und speziell für drei Aktivisten, für Justin, Jubile und für John wurde es immer gefährlicher, in Goma zu bleiben, weil sie – besonders durch ihre internationale Sichtbarkeit – in Goma extrem gefährdet sind und gesucht werden.Vor allem durch die Unterstützung von Misereor ist es ihnen gelungen, alle drei nach Nairobi zu evakuieren, und sie haben jetzt erstmal eine Finanzierung, um dort für zwei Monate zu überleben.Sieben sind noch weiterhin in Goma.Jetzt werden sie sich noch an Frontline Defenders wenden und versuchen, dort noch weitere Unterstützung zu bekommen.Insofern bleibt die Lage weiter schwierig.
