190 Children Taken - Every Day - in Germany alone

Dear all,

more and more people have told me that our story sounds unbelievable.

And honestly — if I weren’t living through this myself, I might wonder the same:

“Can something like this really happen?

In Germany? In the EU?”

Yes — and unfortunately far too often.

According to the German Federal Statistical Office (Destatis), 69,500 children were removed from their families in 2024 and placed in institutions or foster care.

That is around 190 children every single day.

One hundred ninety children PER day — in Germany alone.

Our story is more complex because it spans several countries, but it is not an exception.

It reflects a system that separates families quickly — and corrects mistakes far too slowly.

You can read the official data here:

Please continue spreading our story. As you can see, what is happening goes far beyond just our case.

Visibility is power, and power creates change.
