Dear compassionates,
After the emotional Christmas holidays, the New Year is just around the corner. Another holiday that my son and I will spend apart from each other.
I just had a video call with him and tried to cheer him up.
He misses me. And his cats. His life in general.
And I feel strange telling him “everything will be alright...” without having anything concrete to back up that statement.
All I know is that things cannot continue as they are now. And somehow, somewhere inside me, there is a spark of confidence THAT things really are moving forward, even if everything feels at a standstill right now.
Stagnation in the campaign. Stagnation in the courts. Stagnation in the hearing.
But I have laid the groundwork in three countries, so it's only a matter of time... and when the holidays are over, things will start moving again.
“All it takes is one decision — a lot of guts — a little vision — to wave your worries and cares goodbye.”
sing Muse.
“Irgendwie fängt irgendwann irgendwo die Zukunft an... Liebe wird aus Mut gemacht...”
sing Nena and Eißfeldt.
And I am joining them, sinding these songs - and wish you and your loved ones a wonderful start to the New Year. May it be magical!
Mara
