Wir schaffen es noch ins Ziel, vielleicht sogar heute Nacht bis 24 Uhr, wenn unser ganzes Dorf zusammen sitzt und gemeinsam kocht, redet, plant und die Spendenverteilungs Prioritäten diskutiert.
Ich werde heute um 24 Uhr vor aller Augen mein Notebook öffnen und den Stand Eurer Spenden verkünden.
Es gibt viele Bauern im Dorf, die ihre Existenzgrundlage verloren haben. Nektarios, der ganz knapp mit dem Leben davon kam hat seinen unglaublich liebevoll gepflegten Kräutergarten, der ihm seine Existenz gesichert hat, verloren. Allein der Kummer über diesen Verlust ist so traurig, abgesehen von der verlorenen Olivenernte.
Ach, es ist schrecklich.
Aber die gute Nachricht: Die erste von den drei verbrannten Katzen durfte heute wieder nach Hause. Sie ist noch etwas verwirrt hat aber 3 Packungen Katzenfutter verschlungen, was wir als ein gutes Zeichen deuten.
Vagia, die am schlimmsten verbrannte Katze hat sich inzwischen aus ihrem Käfig bei der Tierärztin in ein Regal im Behandlunsgzimmer einquartiert und sitzt dort still und unbeengt von der Box, macht aber keinerlei Anstalten, das Regal mit den weichen Decken zu verlassen. Sie ist sicher noch zu geschwächt.
Ich war heute mit einem unserer Dorfbewohner beim Bürgermeister der verbrannten Region. Es ist, wie ich schon vermutet habe: eine besondere Hilfe für die Einzelnen Betroffenen ist nicht zu erwarten. Wir müssen uns gegenseitig helfen.
Trotzdem gute Neuigkeiten: Das Telefon und Internet wird gerade repariert und soll angeblich bis zum Wochenende fertig sein, dann kann ich auch wieder kontinuierlicher berichten und auch meinen WhatsApp Status mit Fotos bestücken.
Unser Dorf und Eure Solidarität sind jetzt schon legendär.

Today, I went with one of our villagers to see the mayor of the burned region. It is as I suspected: no special help for the individuals affected is to be expected. We have to help each other.
