Es ist nicht nur der Anblick der verbrannten Landschaft, der so schockierend ist, sondern auch der permanente Greuch nach Feuer, anstatt nach Thymian und Wildkräutern. Manchmal riecht es auch noch nach Kadavern, die wir bis jetzt noch nicht gefunden haben, weil sie an unwegsamen Stellen, oder unter umgestürzten Bäumen liegen.Gestern war der 80. Jahrestag des Atombombenabwurfs auf Hiroschima und irgendwie bekam ich den Gedanken daran gar nicht mehr aus dem Kopf, erst recht nicht, als wir abends unsere verbrannten Katzen bei der Tierärztin besuchten. Ich weiss, das ist vielleicht ein viel zu banaler Vergleich, aber im Leid einer einzigen winzigen Kreatur können wir vielleich sogar besser als in Superlativen das Aussmaß des Leides erahnen. In jedem noch so kleinen Teilchen steckt das große Ganze unserer Welt. Die müssen wir schützen und erhalten.Auch eine ganz, ganz kleine Spende hilft, denn sie zeigt die Betroffenheit und die Hilfsbereitschaft von Menschen mit Mitgefühl für das Leid anderer.In diesem Sinne möchte ich Euch allen, allen aus tiefsten Herzen Danke sagen für Eure Unterstützung.Ich habe in meinem zu Hause noch immer kein Internet und Telefon, deshalb kann ich mich nocht nicht bei Euch allen persönlich bedanken. Die Tierärztin sagte, dass wahrscheinlich alle drei überleben werden.Bis auf einen Wasseranschluß im Dorf, konnten alle wieder mit Wasser versorgt werden, den letzten Anschluss werde ich heute in Auftrag geben. It is not only the sight of the burnt landscape that is so shocking, but also the permanent smell of fire instead of thyme and wild herbs. Sometimes it still smells of carcasses that we have not yet found because they are lying in inaccessible places or under fallen trees.Yesterday was the 80th anniversary of the atomic bombing of Hiroshima, and somehow I couldn't get it out of my head, especially when we visited our burnt cats at the vet in the evening. I know this may be a far too banal comparison, but in the suffering of a single tiny creature, we can perhaps even better than in superlatives imagine the extent of the suffering. Every tiny particle contains the whole of our world. We must protect and preserve it.Even a very small donation helps, because it shows the concern and willingness to help of people who feel compassion for the suffering of others.With this in mind, I would like to thank you all from the bottom of my heart for your support.I still don't have internet or a telephone at home, so I can't thank you all personally yet. But I will, I promise.Here is the progress so far:With your help, we can pay for the veterinary costs, food, care and accommodation for the burned cats. The vet said that all three will probably survive.Except for one water connection in the village, everyone has been reconnected to the water supply. I will order the last connection today. Thank you for that too.The septic tank in the village guest house is almost finished and will be concreted today or tomorrow. I will post photos of this on my WhatsApp status.Most of the dead animals have been removed. Δεν είναι μόνο η θέα του καμένου τοπίου που είναι τόσο συγκλονιστική, αλλά και η μόνιμη μυρωδιά της φωτιάς, αντί για θυμάρι και άγρια βότανα. Μερικές φορές μυρίζει ακόμα και πτώματα, τα οποία δεν έχουμε βρει ακόμα, επειδή βρίσκονται σε δυσπρόσιτα μέρη ή κάτω από πεσμένα δέντρα.Χθες ήταν η 80ή επέτειος της ρίψης της ατομικής βόμβας στη Χιροσίμα και κάπως δεν μπορούσα να βγάλω αυτή τη σκέψη από το μυαλό μου, ειδικά όταν το βράδυ επισκεφθήκαμε τις καμένες γάτες μας στον κτηνίατρο. Ξέρω ότι ίσως είναι μια πολύ τετριμμένη σύγκριση, αλλά στο πόνο ενός μόνο μικροσκοπικού πλάσματος μπορούμε ίσως να αντιληφθούμε καλύτερα από ό,τι με υπερβολές το μέγεθος του πόνου. Σε κάθε μικρό κομμάτι βρίσκεται το σύνολο του κόσμου μας. Πρέπει να το προστατεύσουμε και να το διατηρήσουμε.Ακόμα και μια πολύ μικρή δωρεά βοηθά, γιατί δείχνει την ανησυχία και την προθυμία των ανθρώπων με συμπόνια για τον πόνο των άλλων.Με αυτή την έννοια, θα ήθελα να σας ευχαριστήσω όλους από τα βάθη της καρδιάς μου για την υποστήριξή σας.Δεν έχω ακόμα ίντερνετ και τηλέφωνο στο σπίτι μου, γι' αυτό δεν μπορώ να σας ευχαριστήσω όλους προσωπικά. Αλλά θα το κάνω, το υπόσχομαι.Εδώ είναι η πρόοδος:Με τη βοήθειά σας, μπορούμε να πληρώσουμε τα έξοδα του κτηνιάτρου, την τροφή, τη φροντίδα και τη διαμονή των καμένων γατών. Η κτηνίατρος είπε ότι πιθανότατα και οι τρεις θα επιβιώσουν.Εκτός από μία σύνδεση νερού στο χωριό, όλοι μπόρεσαν να τροφοδοτηθούν ξανά με νερό, θα παραγγείλω την τελευταία σύνδεση σήμερα. Ευχαριστώ και γι' αυτό.   Η δεξαμενή αποχέτευσης στο ξενώνα του χωριού είναι σχεδόν έτοιμη, σήμερα ή αύριο θα τσιμεντωθεί. Liebe Spenderinnen und Spender, liebe Freunde alle, und alle, die ich gar nicht persönlich kenne,ich bin überwältigt von Eurer Großzügigkeit und Hilfsbereitschaft so schnell seid ihr und überlegt nicht lange. Gestern Abend saß ich noch hier in Azugires im Alpha Cafe, das zum Glück von dem Feuer verschont wurde, und habe mich in die Anleitungen eingearbeitet, wie man einen Spendenaufruf startet. Irgendwie ist es mir dann gelungen, sogar Paypal zu installieren. Meine griechischen Freunde haben mich ungläubig dabei beobachtet, denn die meisten wussten gar nicht, dass es solche Spendekampagnen gibt. Da ich in meinem Dorf noch kein Telefon und Internet habe und auch keinerlei Telefonempfang, sitze ich also heute schon wieder den ganzen Tag im Kafeneon und arbeite von hier aus.So kann ich auch unseren Sammelfortschritt sozusagen live an die Dorfbewohner weiter geben und wir dikutieren schon fleißig, welche Aktionen wir zuerst starten.Wir halten es für am Wichtigsten, dass wir alle so schnell wie möglich wieder Wasser haben. Denn in den Häusern ist natürlich auch alles verrußt und verstaubt, deshalb wollen alle putzen, waschen und sich duschen können, um endlich wieder ins Dorf zurückzukehren.Ich werde Euch auf dem Laufenden halten und auch immer neue Fotos auf Whatsapp auf meinem Status posten. Yesterday evening, I was sitting here in Azugires at the Alpha Cafe, which fortunately was spared from the fire, and familiarized myself with the instructions on how to start a fundraising campaign. Somehow, I even managed to install PayPal. My Greek friends watched me in disbelief, as most of them didn't even know that such donation campaigns existed.
