Omega 3 und Augentropfen für Cosby bevor sie geflogen ist (550 Pesos, ca. 25 €) Das ist sowieso die beste Neuigkeit schlechthin, dass Cosby nun in Kanada ist und ein tolles Leben führt. ++GERMAN VERSION++ Hallo ihr Lieben, hier mal wieder zusammen gefasst, was wir alles in letzter Zeit auf die Beine gestellt haben. 1. Es war Zeit für einen Großeinkauf von Wurmtabletten und Tabletten als Schutz gegen den Herzwurm. Wir kauften 10 Schachteln Simparica, 10 Schachteln Nexgard und 3 große Schachteln Endogard (Total Ausgaben: nur 6569,46 Pesos ca. 290 € dank einer Spende von 5000 Pesos, die wir erhalten haben!) Dieser Vorrat wird ca. für 2 vielleicht sogar 3 Monate reichen! 2. Für unsere 8 Welpen kauften wir 7 Welpenfutter Dosen (Royal Canin Puppy 470 Pesos ca 20 €). Alle Welpen haben bereits eine neue Familie gefunden und werden uns bald verlassen. 3. Dann fuhren wir mit der Welpenmami, Niki, und Cuca zum Hundekrankenhaus, um ihre Herzen zu checken, da beide am Herzwurm erkrankt sind. Für das Röntgen und das Electrocardiogramm plus eine Wurmtablette bezahlten wir insgesamt 1850 Pesos ca 78 €. Für die Medikamente für Niki und Cuca bezahlten wir 680 Pesos ca 29 € (Pentoxifilina und Amlodipino). Die beiden werden nach den Herzwurm Injektionen (insgesamt 3) hoffentlich wieder komplett gesund werden. Die Chancen stehen sehr gut, ihre Herzen sind noch nicht zu stark beschädigt. 4. Für Jicamon kauften wir eine spezielle Creme namens Dermoplex, da er Probleme mit seinen Ohren hatte (194,25 Pesos ca 9 €). 5. Für unsere Kämpferin Cosby kauften wir ein antiseptisches Shampoo namens Clorexivet, da sie einige Pilze auf der Haut hat. Sie hat sehr sensible Haut, da sie Albina ist und an Hautkrebs leidet (190,50 Pesos ca 9 €). 6. Des Weiteren brachten wir alle Decken zur Wäscherei, die hatten es wirklich nötig (280 Pesos ca. 11,50 €). 7. Und wir kauften 7 CalmiVet Tabletten für die Hunde, die mit Zwischenstopp nach Kanada reisten, damit sie etwas ruhiger die lange Reise überstehen konnten (210 Pesos, ca 9 €). Wie ihr seht, geht das Geld hier schnell weg gerade wenn wir alle ca. 35 Hunde ordentlich behandeln und versorgen wollen! It was time for a bulk purchase of deworming tablets and tablets as protection against heartworm. Era el momento de comprar pastillas para desparasitar y pastillas para protección contra el gusano del corazón. Compramos 10 cajas de Simparica, 10 cajas de Nexgard y 3 cajas grandes de Endogard (gastos totales: sólo 6569,46 pesos unos 290 euros gracias a una donación de 5000 pesos que recibimos). Este suministro durará unos 2 o incluso 3 meses. 2) Para nuestros 8 cachorros hemos comprado 7 latas de comida para cachorros (Royal Canin Puppy 470 Pesos aprox. 20 €). Todos los cachorros ya han encontrado una nueva familia y nos dejarán pronto. 3. Para nuestra luchadora Cosby compramos un champú antiséptico llamado Clorexivet porque tiene algunos hongos en la piel. Además llevamos todas las cobijas a la lavandería, realmente lo necesitaban (280 Pesos aprox. 11,50 €). 7. Y compramos 7 pastillas CalmiVet para los perros, que viajaron con escala a Canadá, para que pudieran viajar un poco más tranquilos (210 Pesos, aprox. 9 €). Como puedes ver, el dinero aquí se va rápido, especialmente cuando queremos tratar y cuidar a los 35 perros adecuadamente. ++GERMAN VERSION++ Hallo ihr Lieben, wir waren fleißig und hier wieder ein kleines Update für euch: 1.) Käfig Nr. 3 hat eine neue Gittertür (1700 Pesos plus 350 Pesos Transport ca. 85 Euro) 2.) Wir konnten Canelas dritte Herzwurm Injektion bezahlen und sie damit vollständig heilen! Die ersten beiden Injektionen hat ihre Pflegemami bezahlt gehabt und sie hat ihr sogar eine Familie, die sie bereits adoptiert hat, gesucht! (1200 Pesos, ca 50 Euro) 3.) Cosby hatte ihren großen Tag und wir brachten sie zu einem Krebs Spezialisten, der extra aus Toluca anreiste - sie bekam eine Elektrochemotherapie gegen ihren Hautkrebs! Cosby hat die Behandlung gut überstanden und wir konnten ein temporäres Zuhause für sie finden. Ihr Plegepapi sorgt sich rührend um sie. Kosten: 12,161 Pesos für die gesamte Behandlung wovon ich 7161 Pesos bezahlte (ca. 295 Euro) und wir 5000 Pesos von Madlen einer anderen Freiwilligen erhielten. Wir kauften Medikamente und Sonnencreme für Cosby in der Apotheke und bezahlten 370 Pesos (ca. 15 Euro). Des Weiteren bezahlten wir 910 Pesos (ca. 38 Euro) an Jorge unseren Pet Taxi Fahrer des Vertrauens, der den Doktor zurück zum Flughafen brachte und die anderen Freiwilligen an dem Tag zum Tierheim und zurück fuhr, da wir bei Cosby waren! Wie ihr seht waren es ziemlich erfolgreiche letzte Wochen. Wir sind sehr glücklich, dass wir bereits so vielen Hunden helfen konnten. Dank einer weiteren Spende von Leo, die ich in direkt erhalten habe, haben wir die 4500 Euro geknackt!!! Cage No. 3 has a new stainless door (1700 Pesos plus 350 Pesos transport ca. 85 Euro) 2.) We were able to pay for Canela's third heartworm injection and completely cure her! Her foster mommy had paid for the first two injections and even found her a family that had already adopted her! (1200 Pesos, approx. 50 Euro) 3.) Cosby had her big day and we took her to a cancer specialist who traveled all the way from Toluca - she got electrochemotherapy for her skin cancer! Cosby came through the treatment well and we were able to find a foster home for her. Her foster dad cares for her a lot. Cost: 12,161 pesos for the entire treatment of which I paid 7161 pesos (about 295 euros) and we received 5000 pesos from Madlen another volunteer. We bought medicine and sunscreen for Cosby at the pharmacy and paid 370 pesos (about 15 euros). Furthermore, we paid 910 pesos (about 38 euros) to Jorge our trusted pet cab driver who took the doctor back to the airport and drove the other volunteers to and from the shelter that day since we were with Cosby! Pudimos pagar la tercera inyección contra el gusano del corazón de Canela y curarla por completo. Su mama de acogida había pagado las dos primeras inyecciones e incluso le había encontrado una familia que ya la había adoptado. (1200 Pesos, aprox. 50 Euros) 3.) Cosby tuvo su gran día y la llevamos con un especialista en cáncer que viajó desde Toluca: ¡le dieron electroquimioterapia para su cáncer de piel! Cosby superó bien el tratamiento y pudimos encontrarle un hogar temporal. Su papa de acogido la cuida mucho. Costos: 12.161 pesos por todo el tratamiento, de los cuales yo pagué 7.161 pesos (unos 295 euros) y recibimos 5.000 pesos de Madlen, otra voluntaria. Compramos medicamentos y crema solar para Cosby en la farmacia y pagamos 370 pesos (unos 15 euros). También pagamos 910 pesos (unos 38 euros) a Jorge, nuestro taxista de confianza para mascotas, que llevó al médico de vuelta al aeropuerto y condujo a los demás voluntarios de ida y vuelta al refugio ese día, ya que estábamos con Cosby. Como pueden ver, las últimas semanas han sido bastante exitosas. Estamos muy contentos de haber podido ayudar ya a tantos perros. ¡¡¡¡Gracias a otra donación de Leo que recibí directamente, logramos ya un total de mas de 4500 euros de donaciones!!!! ¡Increíble y mil gracias a todos los que me apoyan tanto con este proyecto! Bluttests für 12 weitere Hunde (1200 Pesos ca. 51 Euro) 4.) 25 Fünffach Impfungen (2685 Pesos, ca. 114 Euro) Nach den Tests haben wir leider feststellen müssen, dass viele Hunde an Ehrlichiose und Anaplasma leiden, daher kauften wir Imidofin, welches gegen Anaplasma hilft (660,80 Pesos ca. 28 Euro) und Prednisona, welches hilft die Blutkörperchen nach diesen Krankheiten wieder zu steigern (204 Pesos, ca. 9 Euro). Ebenso konnten wir das sehr teure Medikament Immiticide kaufen (720 Euro), damit wir drei an dem Herzwurm erkrankte Hunde (Chema, Daniela und Mocho) heilen können. Ich schicke euch ein kurzes Update: Wir konnten nun dank eurer Spenden bereits insgesamt 23 Hunde testen lassen und ihre Blutwerte erhalten (2300 Pesos ca. 93 Euro). Stellte sich leider heraus, dass zwei dieser Hunde den Herzwurm haben. Das sehr teure Medikament dafür haben wir bereits bestellt und ich halte euch auf dem Laufenden, sobald wir es erhalten. Des Weiteren haben einige Hunde Canine Ehrlichiose (Infektionskrankheit, welche die weißen Blutkörperchen betrifft) und einige Hunde haben zudem Anaplasmose (eine Baktierenkrankheit, die ebenso die Blutkörperchen betrifft und meist übertragen wird von Zecken). Diese zwei Krankheiten können recht einfach mit Medikamenten behandelt werden. Für einige Hunde haben wir aber Vitamine gekauft (z.B. für Lazy 363 Pesos, ca. 15 Euro) und spezielles nahrhaftes Futter (Exceed 1258 Pesos, ca. 52 Euro). Des Weiteren haben wir als Prävention Endogard Tabletten gekauft, welche jeder Hund, der negativ auf den Herzwurm getestet wurde, einmal im Monat bekommt, um dieser Krankheit vorzubeugen (2400 Pesos, ca. 97 Euro für 32 Tabletten). Zudem konnten wir Linda sterilisieren lassen (500 Pesos, ca 21 Euro) und 5 Beruhigungstabletten kaufen für die Hunde, die bereits nach Seattle geflogen sind und dann nach Kanada transportiert wurden (150 Pesos, ca. 6 Euro). Zuletzt teile ich euch noch mit, dass wir ebenso für Daniela (die Hündin, die wir aus dem Dschungel gerettet haben) die Tests bezahlen konnten (Bluttest und 4Snap 550 Pesos, ca 23 Euro) und leider kam heraus, dass Daniela den Herzwurm hat. Wir werden ein Elektrokardiograph machen und sie röntgen lassen (800 Pesos, ca. 33 Euro). Haltet die Daumen gedrückt, dass der Herzwurm noch nicht ihr Herz angegriffen hat! Und zu guter Letzt bin ich froh euch mitteilen zu können, dass wir endlich unsere eigenen Impfhefte für die Hunde erstellt haben. These two diseases can be treated quite easily with medication. However, for some dogs we bought vitamins (e.g. for Lazy 363 Pesos, about 15 Euro) and special nutritious food (Exceed 1258 Pesos, about 52 Euro). Furthermore, we bought Endogard tablets as prevention, which every dog that has been tested negative for heartworm gets once a month to prevent this disease (2400 pesos, about 97 Euros for 32 tablets). In addition, we were able to have Linda sterilized (500 pesos, about 21 euros) and buy 5 tranquilizer tablets for the dogs that have already been flown to Seattle and then transported to Canada (150 pesos, about 6 euros). Lastly, I will tell you that we were also able to pay for the tests for Daniela (the dog we rescued from the jungle) (blood test and 4Snap 550 pesos, about 23 euros) and unfortunately it came out that Daniela has heartworm. Por desgracia, resultó que dos de estos perros tienen el gusano del corazón. Ya hemos encargado el carísimo medicamento para ello y le mantendré informado en cuanto lo recibamos. Además, algunos perros tienen Ehrlichiosis canina (una enfermedad infecciosa que afecta a los glóbulos blancos) y algunos perros también tienen Anaplasmosis (una enfermedad bacteriana que también afecta a los glóbulos y que suele ser transmitida por las garrapatas). Estas dos enfermedades pueden tratarse fácilmente con medicamentos. Pero para algunos perros compramos vitaminas (por ejemplo, para Lazy 363 pesos, unos 15 euros) y comida nutritiva especial (Exceed 1258 pesos, unos 52 euros). Además, compramos las pastillas Endogard como prevención, que cada perro que ha dado negativo en la prueba del gusano del corazón recibe una vez al mes para prevenir esta enfermedad (2400 pesos, unos 97 euros por 32 pastillas). Además, pudimos esterilizar a Linda (500 pesos, unos 21 euros) y comprar 5 pastillas tranquilizantes para los perros que ya han volado a Seattle y luego han sido transportados a Canadá (150 pesos, unos 6 euros). Aparte me gustaría informarles de que también pudimos pagar los análisis de Daniela (la perra que rescatamos de la selva) (análisis de sangre y 4Snap 550 pesos, aprox. 23 euros) y desgraciadamente resultó que Daniela tiene el gusano del corazón. Le haremos un electrocardiograma y una radiografía (800 pesos, unos 33 euros). Cruza los dedos para que el gusano del corazón no le haya atacado todavía el corazon. Y por último, me complace decirlos que por fin tenemos nuestras propias cartillas de vacunación para los perros. Dank eurer Spenden konnte ich ein Nähset für Sterilisierungen kaufen und damit konnten 25 Hunde erfolgreich sterilisiert werden (1140 Pesos ca. 48 Euro). Vielleicht erinnert ihr euch noch an Uvita? Wir haben sie von der Strasse gerettet nahe dem Tierheim. Es stellte sich heraus, dass Uvita den Herzwurm hat und wir haben ihre Medikamente bezahlt, sodass sie wieder komplett gesund wird und dann adoptiert werden kann (5100 Pesos ca. 215 Euro). Ebenso haben wir wieder neue Hundewelpen im Dschungel gefunden. Insgesamt fünf Stück. Gott sei Dank geht es ihnen allen gut und sie haben sich prima entwickelt. Wir haben im Moment viele Hunde im Tierheim, die dieses Spezialfutter benötigen, um an Gewicht zu gewinnen oder sich von einer Krankheit bzw. Medikamenten zu erholen und mit diesem Futter päppeln wir sie wesentlich schneller wieder auf. Wir konnten drei weitere Welpen auf dem Dschungel retten und haben sie im Tierheim untergebracht. Ihre Staupentests waren Gott sei Dank negativ. Für 3 Tests habe ich 900 Pesos bezahlt (ca. 37 Euros). Sobald sie reisebereit sind, werden sie in Belgien adoptiert! Des Weiteren habe ich ein kleines und ein mittleres Hundebett bei Amazon bestellt. Lula und Cafe sind sehr glücklich über ihre neuen Bettchen. Ich habe für das mittlere Bett 828,95 Pesos bezahlt (ca. 35 Euros) und für das kleine 564,47 Pesos (ca. 24 Euros). Eine traurige Nachricht habe ich leider auch zu übermitteln, denn Teo ist verstorben. Wir sind so traurig und vermissen unseren vierbeinigen Freund so sehr. Teo hatte bereits seit längerem Nierenprobleme und vor kurzem ging es ihm sehr schlecht. Wir brachten ihn sofort zum Tierarzt und versuchten ihn mit Infusionen und Medizin (1980 Pesos, ca 81 Euros) aufzupäppeln, aber leider ohne Erfolg. Nach drei Tagen mussten wir Teo leider gehen lassen. Wir sehen uns auf der anderen Seite Teo. Duby hat ebenso Nierenprobleme und nun wollten wir sicher gehen, dass ihm nicht das gleiche widerfährt wie Teo und so haben wir ihm ein großes Blutbild machen lassen und Gott sei Dank geht es seinen Nieren nicht so schlecht. Wir werden ihm in Kürze ein spezielles Medikament namens Azodyl geben, welches seine Nierenfunktion unterstützt (Blutbild 700 Pesos ca. 29 Euros und Azodyl 1215 Pesos ca. 50 Euros). Sie sind Straßenhunde, die vor dem Tierheim leben und sich wirklich rasant schnell vermehren, was wir natürlich verhindern wollen. Des Weiteren konnten wir das hintere Gehege erneuern und eine komplett neue, rostfreie Gitterwand inklusive Tür installieren (9000 Pesos, ca. 370 Euros). Es sieht wahnsinnig gut aus und die alte, morsche Holzkonstruktion konnte endlich entsorgt werden.
